O.o

Try it out yourself~

Forget the Film, Watch the Titles just posted the opening titles for Splice, that film by Vicenzo Natali with Adrien Brody and Sarah Poley… which I am dying to see.

While watching the titles [you can WATCH IT HERE], was anyone else reminded of Ang Lee’s Hulk? You know the whole genetic experimentation business… and it’s green. LOL I am one of the few people that actually liked that movie, aren’t I?

I have a slight suspicion that this will get a Best Visual Effects nomination this year, definitely a candidate. It looks fresher than Iron Man 2, you know since it’s not a sequel. Like I said, dying to see.

This is a scary video, LOL

I still believe I won’t buy a product that finds me, though.
I will buy something because I have to or need it.
This is the reason I enter stores, walk straight to what I’m looking for,
buy it, and leave.

Wow. I’m really computer dependent. And not only that, it’s MY computer the one I need. I was using my mom’s desktop these past two days, but it wasn’t the same. Now, my dad brought the laptop my aunt isn’t using, but it doesn’t feel right either…

I need to find new software for Vista otherwise I won’t be able to work on anything, including the next issue of YAM… and my YAM mockups. I need my fonts, and I need my non-backed up files… which are only a couple [mostly some images that I didn’t back up, and a few video files], but the one thing I do need to get is my list of 20 actors, which if you have noticed… I’ve stopped updating because I don’t know who’s next! LOL

Well, color me surprised.

Not only has Emma Watson had her website re-designed with a brand new and clean site, but also it seems she’s finally bought off the previously bought EmmaWatson.com – as you probably knew (or didn’t) Emma’s previous URL was EmmaWatsonOfficial.com, which now redirects you to EmmaWatson.com so someone probably made a bit of money there.

The new site has a lot of very-welcomed white space, really big pictures, and easier navigation. Stuff is easier to find, and it’s probably easier to Google. And did I mention the pictures? There’s a lot of slideshows with her editorials and photoshoots and film stills. Sure, you can’t save it, but you can totally “print screen” them xD

And HELLO? Exclusive commissioned photos? People will probably print screen those too, but it is still nice to know you can rely on the official site to deliver original content.

Emma is proving to have a savvy online presence.

And be very fashion.

And I’m glad she doesn’t tweet.

Now all she needs to do is release a photobook. RIGHT?

Because photobooks are totally pretty. And she can pull it off… release a PB, I mean.

I know you love it.

They are pretty good, even if they remind me of those Grammy 2009 ads. which rocked.

Two days ago I received my last batch of Spirit Awards screeners… which I’m almost done watching because my internet connection has been failing, so I took that time to watch some of those films, and catch up on my reading~

Anyway, I’m used to receiving screeners on white paper disc cases. They’re economic, and just easier to get and use… they don’t take extra space, and they’re easy to mail.

Obviously, a big company like Lionsgate can take it to the next level, and send their own (simple, but kinda pretty) screener for Precious. It’s all white, with the company’s name, film’s name and a “Consider This” title glossy embossed finish. Plus, they list all the categories they would like to be considered for.

The only problem I found with the Precious screener is that it doesn’t play on my bedroom’s DVD player. It does play in my computer, and in my older DVD player. I have no idea why. Over the nearly 300 DVDs I own, only 4 or 5 don’t play on my player.

The other 5 DVD screeners are for Amreeka, Anvil: The Story of Anvil, The Messenger, The Vicious Kind, and Easier with Practice — all which came on paper cases. The latter two are the only ones that list their Spirit Awards nominations, so we can actually keep an eye for them when we watch them.

In the end, how important are screeners packaging for a film? After all, isn’t it supposed to be all about the film? Yes, it should be about the film, its characters, and its story. However, it would be nice to know what we should be looking out for… be it with some small text on the DVD, or an extra paper insert, or an extra DVD screen menu with the info. It doesn’t have to be as fancy as the Lionsgate.
