The Next Jodie?

April 8, 2008 — 1 Comment

MSNBC did an article of who could be the next Jodie Foster. Crazyness! LOL’ Their Top5 picks are okay, I guess… but really, the names on the poll. Don’t really dig a few of them. I mean, my respect to Emma Watson, Camilla Belle, Jena Malone, Amber Tamblyn, Clea DuVall… and etc. But Jodie is THE Jodie, LOL’ xD

*EDIT*
Must clarify, the names mentioned above are okay… but Kristen Bell and Kristen Stewart? Pfft

Their Top5 (dunno if by order, though) are: Continue Reading…

Amy’s Busy Month

April seems to be a pretty busy month for Amy. xS

Desperate Housewives & Lots of Bdays - Amy\'s Broke

Yes, excited about Desperate Housewives returning, so what? It’s not like I haven’t been in withdrawal since I ran out of episodes to watch! And yes… there’s too many a-birthday for me to not be broke, ha! To the bad luck of some, I am now pickier on who gets a pretty gift. You know who you are…

The 2008 TIME 100

April 6, 2008 — 2 Comments

TIME Magazine, or better said… TIME’s website is holding a vote for the 100 Most Influential people of 2008, I’m guessing. There’s a broad spectrum of professions, races, nationalities, etc… but come on, seriously?

I like Bi (Rain) and all, I thought he was quite good on Park Chan-Wook’s film, and I’m actually giddy that he’s on the new Speed Racer film. He dances pretty great… and oh Sang Doo, he went to school! LOL’ However, it baffles me that he’s in the #1 spot when probably 75% of people in America and Occident haven’t the faintest idea who he is.

Don’t get me started on #2, LOL. If Chicken Fried should be included, it should be Kentucky Friend Chicken. I mean, I liked Britney and all back in ’99, and I’m still hoping she gets her crap together, but #2??? Seriously? What does that say about us, people??

And #3? Oh my God! J.K. Rowling has been pushed from her thrown by Stephenie Meyer, author of The Twilight Series. A pseudo-fantasy book that is as good as some fanfiction story written for 13-year-old girls who dream and giggle about crushing hard on a good vampire. LOL’ – I mean, really… Influential? Maybe… but the #3 spot?

So this is how the list should be shifted around:

I go to Yahoo to check my now-forgotten Yahoo e-mail address, and I find myself reading that American actor, Charlton Heston has passed away!

I sort of can’t believe it… always part of it, I guess. My first and most notorious impression of Mr. Heston will always be Ben Hur, which they re-run every Eastern in Peru. When I was little, I would always freak out in the scene where Ben Hur’s mom and sister reveal they have leprosy. Always scared me, LOL’

Hey, guys! *woot woot* Post 200

I’ve been thinking of getting rid of the Deezer player because I haven’t been able to find or upload the music to share… and I haven’t logged into my account in FOREVER. LOL’ So I might be changing my music player in the coming days… maybe going back to my old player, or beginning using the audio library on this new WordPress (Yes! Amy updated her WordPress).

Anyway, I have been Asian-ized once again…. like my 2003 period. I’ve been updating my Korean, Japanese and Chinese music… haven’t really found any new artist, but I have expanded my library of the artist I used to listen to so often… – I have also expanded my discography is some artists on my iPod.

Here is the list of albums I’ve been listening to:

Wonderfalls - Shows You Shoul\'ve Watched When They Were on the AirNot long ago, I got the opportunity to watch Wonderfalls. Some of the words that come to mind are “Brilliant!” or “Fudge you, Fox,” and “Buh-buh-buh buh-bye.” In these short couple of weeks, I have fallen in love with the now-canceled-Fox-show.

What’s the show about? It’s about Jaye Tyler. Now, if you LOVED watching Juno being Juno with all her Junoness, you’ll love Jaye because Jaye is the quintessential Juno. Many-a-times people find themselves in the extremes of loving/hating the puns, and the worldplay… but if you love it, you’ll enjoy Wonderfalls.

Jaye is a 24-year-old graduate from Brown University with a Psychology Degree, yet she finds herself over-educated and in a crappy job in a souvenir shop on the American side of Niagara Falls. She also finds herself working under the supervision of a mouth-breather who is still in high school… when one day inanimate objects shaped in the form of animals begin talking to her. Yes, Jaye is a crazy person… or maybe not?

Jaye, very much a la Joan of Arc, begins listening to these voices that tell her to do stuff in very cryptic messages, which often results in her getting into trouble or even helping people! She’s also joined by her not-not-a-sister (double negative there), her over-achiever-yet-living-at-home brother, her neurotic but caring mother, her nervous dad… Mahandra, her 1/8 Indian (native American) black woman friend, a cute-yet-heart-broken bartender, and a whole bunch of other funky and quirky characters that will surely make you snort throughout the 13 episodes.
