I'm surprised that there are so many Harmonians who still intend to see these movies. (I guess this is my way of disengaging from the HP world.) At any rate, I would believe your theory except for the the facts that 1. Cuaron was asked back to direct GOF and declined, because he was still putting the finishing touches on POA. 2. Newell was asked back to direct OOTP, but also declined because he was kinda "done" with HP. They asked numerous directors to direct OOTP, such as Del Toro, Mira Nair and Jean Pierre Jeunet, and they all declined, so they ended up with Yates, who had never directed anything but TV miniseries (well-respected TV miniseries, but still...). And now they have Yates for HBP. I will be interested to see how well HBP does in the box-office. Even with Harmonians not necessarily boycotting it, I have a feeling that there won't be many "repeat visits" and when you add in the fact that the movie is going to be released for the Holidays, it will have lots of competition. I do not wan't to see the horror infront of my eyes, it's bad enough that it happens on the book but on film? Hell no! Maybe if we get lucky they totally cut ginny off, seeing as their relationship was so short and unimportant (did we see Harry talking much about the relationship in the book?
